It features museums on film, art, architecture, and more, many housed in historic buildings or modern venues designed by renowned architects. Main Tower
Frankfurt’s Main Tower, the fourth-tallest in Germany, offers a public viewing platform with views over the Altstadt and the Main River. Opened in 2000, the tower features modern art by Bill Viola and Stephan Huber in the foyer. The observation deck stays open late on weekends, offering stunning night views.
Goethe House and Museum
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was born in 1749 at 23 Großer Hirschgraben, a medieval house with a Rococo facade. He lived there until 16 and returned during his studies. The house, now restored post-war, features period furnishings, including an astronomical clock, and hosts a Romantic art museum.
